Save The Date!
Time to haul out the Blackberries and I-Phones and mark the date for the 79th Annual Meeting of the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the 18th Annual Meeting of the Foundation for Healthy Communities. The joint event will be held Sept. 22-24 at the Omni Mount Washington Resort at Bretton Woods.
In response to user surveys, participant feedback and general acclamation, the gathering will return to its original two-and-one-half-day format, which will allow for more networking, leisure activities - and yes, golf - while leaving ample time for substantive programming.
Among those already scheduled to appear are:
- Timothy McDonald, MD JD, a nationally renowned physician-attorney who has been involved in quality and patient safety efforts at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System, and;
- Maulik S. Joshi, Dr.P.H., President of the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) and Senior Vice President for Research at the American Hospital Association (AHA), who will discuss the Partnership for Patients.
Additional programming will include panels with updates on the ACA's Insurance Marketplace, statewide efforts to prevent drug diversion and a comprehensive look at New Hampshire's growing problem with access to mental health care and efforts to reverse that trend.
