Three New Members Named to

NH Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration Board of Directors

 

CONCORD, NH – The New Hampshire Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration (NH CCC), has elected three new members to its Board of Directors, including Diana Gibbs of Groveton; Scott Lawson of Henniker; and Dr. Trinidad Tellez of Manchester.

 

“We are excited as well as appreciative of the commitment these new board members bring to our mission, which is reducing the burden of cancer in New Hampshire,” said Board Chair Barbara Kimball, who has served as Executive Director of the Radiation Center of Greater Nashua for more than 20 years. “Their respective skills, experiences, and interests will enhance our ability to meet the challenges of our mission successfully.”

Diana Gibbs is a Certified Prevention Specialist and a Program Manager at the North Country Health Consortium (NCHC), a public health organization in Littleton. She has experience in nonprofit program and fiscal management and possesses professional skills in grant writing, budget management, community organizing, outreach and marketing, and public health enhancement. Ms. Gibbs is a member of the NH CCC Tobacco Work Group.

 

Scott H. Lawson is the Founder and President of The Scott Lawson Companies, based in Concord. The Scott Lawson Companies is one of the leading worker health and safety, and laboratory services firms in New England, having served nearly 5,000 companies nationwide. Workforce Wellness, a subsidiary of The Scott Lawson Companies, provides on-site wellness programs and health risk assessments that work to improve the health of employees and lower the cost of group health insurance.

 

Dr. Trinidad Tellez is the Director of the Office of Minority Health and Refugee Affairs at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. She oversees the development of partnerships, initiatives and policies designed to reduce health disparities and promote health equity. Dr. Tellez is a member of the NH CCC Prevention and Early Detection Work Group.

 

The NH CCC developed the state’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan and works with its partners to implement the objectives outlined in the Plan. The Collaboration currently consists of hundreds of individuals and organizations committed to eliminating cancer in the state.
