A life-saving flight and second chance at life

Ed had a massive heart attack and needed to be resuscitated 14 times. As he was airlifted from his community hospital to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, his body was in a state of shock so severe his chances of survival were low. A team of cardiologists and other experts used advanced technologies to keep him alive while he was in an induced coma. Ten days later Ed woke up, and his heart was beating normally.
